I walked through the eerily silent pillared pathway.

The pathway ended at a black door. I silently opened the door and peered inside. I could see a well-furnished room. At the center was a table, placed upon which were a host of cups and three flasks. “Welcome, uninvited guest.”

Before I could reply, the voice continued.

“You seek adventure. I can offer you one.”

I was intrigued. However, I thought it best to keep my guard up and glock drawn.
