I’m from the south, where there’s a church on every corner. This flash, though, reminded me how I felt when I lived in California – liquor stores on every corner!

Funny you should mention that! We did an unscientific study once of the liquor store to church ratio, the conclusion – the more religious, the higher the likelihood of more liquor stores. Seems God doesn’t really guarantee ease.

Interesting study! Are you in the US? Many Southern states, like North Carolina, have controlled beverage stores, which probably convolute things.
