Flash Fiction: Little Furballs

They were cute and that is what worked for them.

The soft hearted, the young and the children, all fawned over the little cuddly furballs with huge pretty eyes.

Public pressure forced our hand, and we welcomed the aliens into our society with open arms, and they gladly accepted our welcome.

Gauging their reason for arrival, was difficult as we were communicating with a race that spoke only one word – Hi.

However, we soon realized their intentions.

But only after they started bursting with the force of bombs, blowing up our key positions, leaving us vulnerable against their invasion force.
