Here they come, the supposed saviours.
They have come to challenge me. No doubt they want to defeat me and take possession of the keys to the cages. Do they think that they can free their captured kin from my grasp so easily? I am not letting them have my pets.
They are all mine…

This ride turned out just as expected.
Only racers with guts of iron and balls of steel participate in this once-a-year race. Racing on a highway that exists only for two hours offers an adrenaline rush unlike any other. As the time passes, the highway begins getting covered by strong dust storms. That means death for those poor bastards who are too slow to outride the sand.
Now, it’s down to the last three of us. With the sand storm almost touching us, we cannot afford to slow down. Last five minutes left.
Time to see if the nitrous works…

This was our first trip together, we sat side by side taking in the breathtaking views the mountains had to offer.
Then came that bend that we failed to see, and could not control the swerving car.
Now we come to this white light, and we will pass through it, together.
Prompt:
It has been a huge change.
Earlier, I used to run behind animals, on the hunt for flesh. Now, I run ahead of men, on the hunt for gold. However, what haven’t changed are the spectators.

I was shocked at the spectacle I was watching.
People were running around on the street, in a dust-storm of colours, flinging water at each other. They were tossing water from their houses, many storeys high, at the chaotic crowd below. The people were throwing water balloons and using guns to squirt streams of water all around. Nobody seemed to care about the water that they were wasting. If only they knew what us village folk have to bear. I was almost in tears, but I held them back.
I knew the cost of a single bucket of water….

I bear it.
Every single day, I feel the pain on my back. It feels like a million embers burning me slowly, making me feel each strike. The strikes start every morning with the first light of the sun, and stop only when the moon rises. Every day, I wish to rise up and crush those who would strike me for their greediness, willing to steal all my golden organs. But I must bear it, for the sake of my kin. When we have consolidated enough power, a day will come when we rise.
Then we will bear no more…

This amusement park is my second home. I know everything about it. How long each ride runs, the speeds, in how many minutes does the ferris wheel reach the top, everything. In fact, the wheel was my first ride here, when my parents had brought me many many years ago. The wheel takes a slight pause at precisely 9 pm, when the power line switched. It is the best time to be in the top pod. Which is where I am. One last sight of the city.
Before the final plunge…
